had minor alterations done (at a cost of $800) – I had the neckline made sweetheart, similar to Brooklyn Decker and, at the Vera Wang boutique’s recommendation, I had some crinoline added to the bottom of the dress to help hold its beautiful mermaid shape.
Description and details
Elegant, figure flattering Vera Wang strapless mermaid gown with a wrapped bodice and pleated skirt was purchased at the Vera Wang store at Avenue and Bloor, Toronto. The stretchy silk Mikado fabric fits your body like a glove and was so comfortable I felt I like I could do a yoga class in it! What’s more is the stretch fabric prevents the strapless dress from slipping – leaving you to dance without ever having to fidget. I loved everything about this dress. It was also worn by Brooklyn Decker at her wedding to Andy Roddick.
The dress was worn for 12 hours and was immediately dry cleaned by a bridal cleaner ($350). The dress has no marks, stains, or snags.

I am 5’10” and wore 4” heels. There is lots of room in the pleated skirt to be taken up several inches. It is a Vera size 12 – street size 8 and could easily be taken in further or because of the stretch in the fabric probably fit a street size 10.
This dress retailed for $7800+ tax and alterations. I am asking $3700. I can accommodate fittings in the Toronto area and am happy to send additional photos.
