I got married at the end of December 2009 and, due to financial woes, I must give up my custom wedding dress.
The dress is a custom-made dress by Barbara Allin, from Toronto. It was a modified combination of two models (BA 7750 top and BA 7746 skirt), and the designer’s size chart says that it’s between a size 6 and 8.
I’m a petite girl who wears a dress size of XS/S in street sizes. This dress has some generous cups built in so I wore no bodice underneath and felt absolutely secure. The bodice has a sturdy, soft wire frame that hugs the torso and keeps it from falling and feeling like you have to keep pulling up the dress. The top has a beautiful triangle embellishment made with sequins and diamonds.
The dress material and colour is Indian Silk Satin Eggshell. It is strapless and can be considered a sheath or A-line gown with a 12” train.
Without heels, I am 5'6" but I wore this dress with 2 inch heels, so the dress just touched the ground.
I originally paid $3500 for the dress and $200 for the veil. I can throw in the veil for free if you want it.
The skirt has a button at the back for the train to bustle.
The dress has been dry-cleaned and boxed, as shown in this photo:
