Wedding Inspiration: What's A Wedding Cone? A Must-Have Wedding Decor Item & Easy DIY Project!
You may be asking yourself, “What exactly is a wedding cone?” Well, it’s an incredibly multipurpose and inexpensive addition to your wedding decor that you can easily make yourself!
I made the wedding cone (below) one afternoon and styled it as a wedding favor by placing it into a champagne flute. It fit perfectly and looked great! All that's missing are the treats inside that could be wrapped in cellophane and tied off with a ribbon bow.

You can also use a paper cone to house petals or confetti and then distribute them at the ceremony to guests. These dainty cones are perfect for the reception snack table as a vessel for pick-me-ups and other goodies because they're the perfect size and shape for munching while mingling.
How to make a must-have wedding cone:
- Gather your supplies! You'll need:
- Scissors
- Paper with a decent weight. Try a slightly texured, double-sided paper, like the one I’ve used.
- Double-sided tape
- Start by taking a crisp, square piece of decorative paper and cut to approximate 5” x 5” squares.
- Roll square sheet into the shape of a cone.
- Place a line of double-sided tape along one of the inside edges (the side that will form the inside of the cone) of the sheet.
- Rotate the paper in front of you so it looks like a diamond.
- Grab the corner of the paper directly opposite your line of tape and roll the paper into a cone shape.
- Press down where the double sided tape meets the paper to ensure a good bond.
Voila! You now have a beautiful, practical paper cone. It may take a few tries to get the hang of rolling these cones, but in no time you'll be a pro.
