Today's tip is from Great Events.
We know that planning a wedding is a lot of work and that sometimes it's hard to stay calm, cool and collected when you're dealing with your mother's additional guests, your never ending budget calculations and your hunt to find your perfect dress. That's why we've put together 5 tips for you to keep in mind as you plan one of the biggest days of your life.

- Savour Each Moment So many couples say that their wedding was a whirlwind. Take time to really be together during your wedding day. Let your wedding planner handle the details so you can enjoy your guests and your celebration.
- It's all About You! Your wedding should be a reflection of you. Think about the day you wish to have, not the day you "should" have. Incorporate what's important and meaningful to you.
- "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." -Leonardo da Vinci Who would argue with da Vinci? Your budget will be grateful if you keep this in mind. There is an overwhelming amount of choices for décor, linen, flowers, lighting and entertainment. A good planner will help you create your vision within your budget.
- Remember Why Your wedding day is a celebration of your love. Bringing two families together can invite lots of emotional drama. If or when this happens during the planning; close your eyes, breathe deeply, and remember what your wedding day is really about. Regardless of where your aunt Susan is seated, or if your cake is 1 or 3000 tiers isn't as important as the two of you getting married.
- Enjoy You're planning a celebration. Keep it fun!
