Time Management Tips to Achieve Bridal Bliss
Planning your wedding is an exciting time filled with creativity, fun parties and new beginnings. It can also be a very stressful time if you’re juggling a full time job, dealing with budgets and family politics.

Time management skills combined with a cool and calm attitude are essential if you want to enjoy this exciting yet busy time in your life! Staying motivated and maintaining positive energy throughout this process will ensure that you enjoy every minute of this special time.
Here are 4 useful tips to help you manage your time as you plan the wedding of your dreams!
1. Define Your Priorities.
Prioritization is your friend! Begin by listing all the things you need to get done and then assign a priority to each item. One method I like to use is the ABC method:
- A = Must Do
- B = Should Do
- C = Nice to Do
Focus on your A list and re-evaluate your priorities regularly.
2. Set Time Limits and Stick to Them.
This strategy is very helpful in making sure you get everything done. Between visiting caterers, finding your dress, and finishing that major project at work you’ll be juggling a lot of priorities! I find that setting a timer or blocking off dedicated time slots in your calendar really helps. If you set aside time be firm with your schedule and pay attention to tasks that take too long or are not on your priority list.
3. Know Your Prime Time.
We all have times during the day when we have the most energy – our “prime time”. Mine is first thing in the morning. Aim to complete the priorities requiring the most concentration and creativity during this time.
4. Manage Up!
Time management is as much about managing your time, as it is about managing the expectations of others. Realistically it may not be possible to complete everything in a day or even a week and when we are accountable to others dropping the ball without forewarning doesn’t fair well. Keep your boss, friends, and wedding team in the loop and be proactive in managing their expectations, especially if you won’t make the deadline.
