Finding Your Perfect Eco-Friendly Venue
So now that you've set a date for your big day, the next big hurdle is to find a venue that satisfies your tastes, vision and needs! If your tastes include finding an eco-friendly venue, we would like to provide you with some general questions to ask yourself and the venue so that you choose wisely! Here is a laundry list of things to consider:

What Comes First: The Venue or the Date?
Ahhh, the classic conundrum (chicken or the egg?). Do you select your wedding date first and then your venue? Or do you pick the venue and then the date based on the venue’s availability? Here are some tips on how to go about this tricky process:

When the DATE comes first
If you are absolutely set on a certain wedding date, because you love the way it sounds (10/10/10 or 09/10/11 for example), or because it has special meaning to you and your fiancé (anniversary of first date/your parents’ wedding date or whatnot), then YAY, that is half the battle. You can call around to all the various venues and check their availability on your chosen date.
If you don’t have a specific date in mind, but more so a general season or preferred month, then the VENUE comes first. Take the following factors into consideration:

As some of you may know, I'm a bit of a tea enthusiast (read: obsessed) and I was pleasantly surprised to find Mighty Leaf teas in all rooms (along with Starbucks coffee for those of you who are coffee lovers). It wasn't just this though. There were lots of other little details... like the lovely Cutler bath products, bathrobes and waterfront balconies that added some extra personality. These are little touches your wedding guests will notice.
