DO decide on a BUDGET!
Renee says: A bride has to do her homework and look online and educate herself. I recommend having a VERY firm budget when you go to your appointment, or when you book over the phone - make sure you tell them upfront what your budget is. Brides say it's never about the money - but it is! I've seen too many brides not have a budget, and unable to get the dress of their dreams because they didn't educate themselves on the cost. So educate yourself - go online and see the dresses/styles you love, and see what they cost. Get ideas and be resourceful - brides will find their perfect dress within their budget.
DON'T TAKE AN ENTOURAGE DRESS SHOPPING!
Renee says: The BIGGEST mistake bride's make when choosing a wedding dress are being influenced by their HUGE entourage. They are not in tune with their heart and soul when making the purchase, and are too influenced by their friends and family. If the bride is blessed to have her mother or a female confidant like a maid of honor or Aunt - I recommend just bringing one other trusted person to your appointment. Don't bring an entourage - they can all see the dress AFTER the purchase.
