Choosing A Green Venue:
Starting with an eco-friendly wedding venue sets the tone for a green celebration. For their ceremony and reception, Brittany and Sean chose the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY. The Wild Center educates the public on the Adirondack ecosystem and how to preserve it.
Green Extras:
Beyond that, the Wild Center assisted the couple in making all aspects of their wedding green. They supplied linens, gave green vendor recommendations, and assisted in the purchasing of carbon offsets for the wedding to support alternative energy. They also took care of recycling all appropriate materials, and composting the leftover food after the celebration. This support was really helpful to the couple and made it easier for them to reduce the overall footprint of their wedding.
