INSPIRATION: Flower Ideas for Winter Wedding
Planning a winter wedding and want to get your head around all the choices out there when it comes to what flowers work best for the festive holiday season? We know the options can seem endless (and maybe a bit overwhelming) because it’s not always easy to figure out what’s in season, or what will work best! That’s why our friends at Pink Twig have given us a quick overview of the kinds of flowers to think about if you’re getting married this winter! Read on for winter flower inspiration and ideas!

Winter weddings lend us loads of amazing product, and lovely colors can be used to switch things up from the traditional reds and whites of the Holiday season. Some of the flowers we love for this time of year are:
Most year-round flowers are also available at this time of year in reds and whites. These include:
Plus, often times we are able to get beautiful peonies from far away! But, if you like something more unique and a bit out of the ordinary, think about adding fuchsias, hot pinks and lime green to the beautiful reds of the season and you’ve got one hot bouquet just like the one below!

Beyond that, bling of any kind is always a must-have for the winter season. By adding jewels to your bouquets or centerpieces you are spicing things up and making your big day unique.
If it’s a more natural look that you’re after, hypernicum berries in red, burgundy or jade green always look lovely and festive when combined with white hydrangea and some dark Black Magic roses.

Centerpieces (featured above and below) and party favors for this time of year can include small potted plants, or a lovely design made with fresh pine, cedar, cones and sparkle! Cranberries in vases are another great way to bring some bright reds to your tables, and offer a seasonal decoration to the clear glassware used for the centerpieces. Apples and pomegranates are also cool alternatives to add into your blooms to mix fruit and floral.

We hope these ideas can get your started and provide some inspiration for your big day. Happy Planning!
