Guess We're Not the Only Ones - Italian Wedding Costs Soar

TAGS: BUDGET

Wedding costs seem to be on the rise worldwide. An Italian news story reports that the cost of "tying the knot in Italy has increased by 40% in the last seven years" and that "couples opting for a full Hollywood-style bash were stumping up around 47,900 euros".

According to the article, Italian brides spend between 2500 and 5000 euros on a dress alone. If that seems high to you, you're not alone.

SmartBride surveyed over 150 Canadian engaged or recently married women. Of those surveyed, only 2.5% estimated that the average Canadian bride spends over $2000 CAD on her dress. Read the results of the entire SmartBride survey.
