FREE TEMPLATE for DIY: Flower Girl Cards

TAGS: PRE-WEDDING PLANNING, WEDDING PLANNING TIPS

While many couples hesitate when considering whether to include children on their guest list (let alone as part of their bridal party), for me and my Mr., the day wouldn't be complete without our ten nieces and nephews as a part of it.

And when it came to the girls in particular, we weren't about to crush their hopeful spirits by choosing just one flower girl. It was every one, or no one.

Thus, we have seven oh-so-sweet girls in our bridal party, ranging in ages from 18 months to 18 years, with the eldest acting as a guide for the wee ones.

Since most of the little ones have never attended a wedding, it was important to ensure they knew just what their special job entailed. I ordered a few copies of The Little Flower Girl, then paired each copy with a personalized card and a pack of "practice petals" so they knew just what was expected of them in September.

And they went over like gangbusters. In fact, I think the girls may just be more excited than I am to walk down the aisle!

Got a special little girl in your bridal party? Download the free template - in purple, red or pink - and print your own flower girl cards on white card stock (two per sheet - just cut along the grey dotted line). I also added self-stick rhinestones and ribbon (available in any craft or dollar store) to up the cute-and-girly factor.

Wondering what we've got planned for the 3 little dudes on the big day? Stay tuned!
