Fall 2010 Wedding Dress Trends: SmartBride Style
This past week we caught a glimpse of the top 5 trends hitting the runway for Fall 2010 as reported by In Style Weddings.
Of course, we were smitten! That's why this week we're putting the Smart Bride twist on the top 5 Fall Wedding Dress trends by choosing dresses available on SmartBride Boutique for a fraction of the retail price!

Staying on trend and saving money has never looked better.
Trend #1: In full bloom
Flowers are hitting the runway in a big way, whether they're woven into the fabric, appliquéd, or just flirty and romantic accents. Here are 3 options to add floral femininity to your wedding dress:
Adele Wechsler 'Cindy' Strapless A Line - $1250: A little bit of romanticism at your back! (pictured above)
Alfred Angelo Strapless A Line - $900: Classic silhouette with an artful appliqué.

Mikaella 1406 Sweetheart Mermaid -$1100: Making flowers oh so sexy!

Trend #2: Black details
A dramatic trend on the runways is the mix of white dresses with black accents. I don't know about you but we think this trend adds an extra "au courant" edge to a wedding look. Definitely not for bashful brides! We've found 3 that fit the bill:
David's Bridal Strapless A Line - $300: Just imagine the sash in black!

Strapless A Line - $200: Definitely not your average strapless A Line!

Vera Wang Sweetheart Ball Gown - $3400: Nothing to say except OMG….so beautiful.

Trend #3: Master of Illusion
Our 3rd trend of Fall 2010 is the illusion or sheer neckline. We are fans of this look because it's a welcome break from the typical strapless silhouette. Our marketing coordinator/fashion queen informed us that Yves St. Laurent was the designer who popularized the use of sheerness. In our humble opinion, Yves was ahead of his time! Our top 3 looks:
Isaac Mizrahi A Line - $100: On trend for $100? Seems too good to be true.

Pronovias Trumpet - $600: High ruff collar + sheer back = modern and edgy bride

Trend #4: Bowed Over
Bows are not just for your hair or prim librarians anymore! The bows on these dresses are versatile accents, whether you want to make a modern, architectural statement or if you want to add some whimsy. We've got our eye on these 2 dresses:
Mon Cheri Halter Mermaid - $600: You'll want to walk down the aisle backwards!

Melissa Sweet "Dora" Sweetheart A Line - $1800: Romantic & sexy at the same time.

Trend #5: Cowl Necklines
Another neckline trend we can get behind is the cowl. We could be slightly biased since one of us had a cowl neckline in our wedding dress, but the draping of this neckline is flattering, provides a hint of sexy and, is different. Our top pick is below:
Nicole Miller Halter Sheath - $400: Simple & light as air.
