My dearest SmartBrides, consider this our lucky day!

Nicole Stewart, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Fashion Magazine GLOSS, brings us the latest trends in Bridal Couture straight from Nina Duong. I highly recommend a visit to Glossmag.ca. In addition to keeping up on fashion trends at all price points, you’ll find shop listings in cities across the country where you create a custom look for your wedding day and, of course, to add some unique pieces to your everyday wardrobe. Take it away, Nicole.

Nina Duong Micha Dress

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who makes the prettiest dresses of them all? Nina Duong Haute Couture specializes in wedding dresses that will leave him gushing at the altar.

The most popular silhouette this season according to designer Nina Duong is the fitted mermaid dress made out of soft silk and lace, but you will also find any kind of dress your heart desires. Choose from deep purple, chocolate brown, ivory, or the traditional wedding white, so your dress suits your style.

"Try the wedding gown on with white or nude underwear, a strapless bra or slimming garment and wear your hair in a similar style you have envisioned for your wedding day. Take along a pair of high heel shoes the same height you'd like to wear," says Nina. "Your wedding gown should be one that compliments your body type. Don’t be afraid to show off your figure."

So keep your eye out for a Nina Duong gown or mermaid style silhouette that will match you!

Nina Duong Bridal Runway Show

Thanks Nicole! We're so pleased that Canadian designers are offering dresses of varying lengths and colours. For those of us who want a dress that takes us from ceremony straight into reception, the cocktail dress is perfect style-wise, and saves us from shelling out for two dresses. Non-white gowns in classic styles will certainly double duty as super fancy, black tie attire down the road (otherwise we'll be renting!) or could be resold for high school graduation.
