I was first introduced to Smitten Kitten at the One of a Kind Show last Christmas. You can't miss her booth, it's super cute! I, of course, had to purchase one of her Kanzashi brooches to brighten up my black winter coat. Her brooches are hand sewn from vintage scarves. She has a repertoire of her own scarves, but you can also bring your own scarf for a custom job.
As the weather turned colder we pulled all of our winter stuff out of storage, and I was excited to see my brooch again. It got me thinking - this would be perfect for "something old"!

Despite the fact that I generally come down with a major case of "the pimples" before every major occasion in my life, I was very fortunate to steer clear of any nasty last minute surprises leading up to my wedding day. To be honest, this was my biggest concern, second only to our wedding attire and rings not making it across the country with us on the plane.
Lately, I haven't been quite so lucky and have sought professional help from a dermatologist. I was lead to believe that there are no quick fixes for pimples - today, I found out otherwise. In addition to being prescribed some systemic (pills) and topical treatments to prevent breakouts, I was also offered an mini injection ($10 per injection). Before you get too scared, let me explain.

Readers were asked: if price were no object, what four things on etsy would you get for your wedding?
There are several amazing submissions capturing varying themes and styles for your viewing pleasure. Truthfully, I'm simply thrilled that my suggestions appear alongside such creative and thoughtful entries. A big thank you to onesmallstar for taking the time to post all of my items!

I concentrated my picks around a poppy theme inspired by a tea set I inherited from my Grandmother, and added in a few additional signature pieces. I've displayed a selection of my picks above, but you can read the full article on etsy titled "andrea: 4 *plus* things for my poppy wedding"
You'll note, I ...
