Wedding Registry Gift of the Week: Cooking Lessons

TAGS: WEDDING REGISTRY, WEDDING REPUBLIC, GIFT REGISTRY, WEDDING GIFTS

Are you challenged in the kitchen? Why not register for cooking lessons!

Like many engaged couples, there’s a good chance you don’t need another set of cutlery. Instead, consider putting your utensils to use by adding cooking lessons to your wedding registry.

Wedding Registry Idea

Whether you fancy yourself an amateur chef or can barely find your way around the kitchen, a culinary class can be a great addition to your gift list. Not only is it a fun way for you and your fiancé to learn something new, it’s practical and will benefit you for years to come.

Besides, you know the old adage: the way to someone’s heart is through his or her stomach, and what better way to start the journey then a couples cooking class!

As such, I recently became very inspired when I came across this post for homemade marshmallows on one of my daily Interweb stops (seriouseats.com). How cute would little stacks of fluffy, multicolor marshmallows be as wedding favors?

Tasty favors are also a great way to go DIY and save some money – make them yourself and incorporate your favorite flavors for a warm, personalized “thank you" to your guests.

Bitten by the edible favor bug, I’ve been digging around for ideas.

Here are some of my best finds:

  1. Fleur de Sel Caramels

I am a fiend for salty-sweet flavor combinations, and these individually-wrapped bites of heaven would be a great welcome to any celebration.
